Sirio TommasoliSirio Tommasoli is a visual artist (photography, video-art and installations) since 1970, with publications and shows in Italy and abroad.
His work is especially dedicated to the study and development of the “next image” with works in series and, since 1979, “photogramics”: “seeing” itself as a poetical language, divided into frames which are organised by each person’s mind as a synthetic unity but that are, at the same time, my individual “seeing”, my own “way of world making”. In my works I sought the suspension and shifting of the dimensional ratio between things and space as it emerged in shots or frames that fragment and expand the glance until it shipwrecks in the beyond, at times in the ancient and estranging memory that surfaces from the banality of a daily landscape never seen before.

Sirio Tommasoli took a degree in sociology, he was Formerly Professor of Photography at the Cignaroli Academy of Art and editor of Anterem, the poetic research magazine.

His works are owned by public and private collections.
